Two trucks collide on Pacific Hwy
UPDATE: ALL lanes of the Pacific Highway are now open at Ulmarra north of Grafton following a truck accident earlier today.
Alternating traffic arrangements were put in place on the highway near Post Office Lane while a salvage operation was carried out.
The salvage is finished and all lanes of the highway have reopened, with traffic through the area back to normal.
But further north near Byron Bay, the Pacific Highway remains closed in both directions at Old Byron Bay Road at Knockrow after a serious car and truck accident.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Northbound traffic already in the area is being diverted via Ross Lane, while southbound traffic is being diverted via Bangalow Road.
Heavy vehicles are being parked or can use the Bruxner Highway and New England Highway instead.
