RMS call for feedback on highway upgrade

COMMUNITY feedback is being called for the draft urban design, landscaping plan and proposal to modify the road level for the Woolgoolga to Glenugie section of the Pacific Highway upgrade.

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesman said detailed design work was progressing well for the section, which started about 6km north of Woolgoolga and ended about 15km south of Grafton, near Glenugie.

"This section of road is part of the 155km Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade of the Pacific Highway," the spokesman said. "The project team is looking at a number of design features which are now available for community input."

The urban design and landscaping plan is on display until Friday, October 24, at the following locations:

Clarence Valley Council (Grafton), 2 Prince St, Grafton, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm.

Roads and Maritime Services, Pacific Highway office, 21 Prince St, Grafton, Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm.

Coffs Harbour City Council, 2 Castle St, Coffs Harbour, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm.

Woolgoolga Library, Ganderton St, Woolgoolga, Monday to Friday, 9.30am-5pm, Saturday 9.30am-noon.

Roads and Maritime is also proposing to change the road level, and landowners surrounding the affected areas are entitled to make submissions.

The plan can be viewed until the end of October at:
