EURO wagon lovers rejoice, Australia will receive the next-generation Jaguar XF Sportbrake later this year.
And doesn't it look superb? We missed out on the previous generation Jag XF wagon, but Jaguar Australia has said the new Sportbrake can be ordered now, with deliveries expected to start late in the fourth quarter of this year. Let's just say they should be here for Christmas.
The Jag's extended bum means 565 litres of boot space (or 1700 litres with rear seats lowered), while comfort is assured with self-levelling air suspension.
Prices and specifications for Australian cars have yet to be revealed, but expect to add a few grand to the starting price of $82,754 before on-roads for the current XF sedan.
Expect a range of petrol and diesel engines, and power delivered through the rear wheels. There's the potential for all-wheel drive models here as they'll be offered in overseas markets.
The entry-level model will be a 132kW 2.0-litre diesel returning an impressive 4.8-litres/100km.
