Cranky Clive takes a crack at journo and Nick Xenophon

PALMER United Party leader Clive Palmer has hit out at a member of the media after being asked a question about his finances.

The likely Member for Fairfax took exception to a question asked by a journalist from The Australian during a media  conference.

"It's none of your business," a visibly angry Mr Palmer said in response to the question.

"What about your house? How much is your mortgage?

"How much did you pay your wife to get her to marry you?"

Mr Palmer also took aim at Independent Senator Nick Xenophon over his call for the public release of details on  PUP's agreement with the Motoring Enthusiast Party in the Upper House.

In agreeing to release details by Christmas, Mr Palmer labelled Mr Xenophon "Nick Xenophobia" and described him as being as useless as "tits on a bull".

"Poor old Nick's been attacking me since he got elected, since we didn't include him in our alliance," Mr Palmer said.

"I'll give you a headline - he's like tits on a bull.

"He's pretty useless at the moment in the Senate because his vote doesn't really matter to anybody."
