Corindi car accident slows traffic on Pacific Hwy
12.30PM: THERE are no further delays at Corindi Beach but drivers are having to take an extra 20 minutes if they're travelling south along the Woolgoolga bypass.
11.45AM: THE accident site at Corindi Beach has been cleared but there's still a queue of traffic in both directions waiting to get through.
Motorists driving through the area have been advised to expect some delay.
Not nearly as bad as the delays being experienced further south on the Pacific Hwy at Macksville.
Southbound traffic is queued for almost 10km with a 40 minute delay in driving time predicted while those travelling north through Macksville have to contend with a 3km line and a 10-minute wait.
11.00AM: SOUTHBOUND traffic between Grafton and Coffs Harbour on the Pacific Hwy is again experiencing delays.
The major east coast arterial is closed for some southbound traffic at Corindi Beach after a car accident near the intersection with Coral St.
Local diversions are in place for light vehicles. Heavy vehicles are currently being parked at this location.
Emergency services and traffic crews are on site.
Motorists are advised to expect delays and allow additional travel time.
